Official Sweepstakes Rules: Yosemite Spring 2027 Workshop Tuition Giveaway

1. Eligibility: This Sweepstakes is open only to those who sign up at the official sweepstakes landing page and who are 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry. The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States and Canada, and is void where prohibited by local, state, provincial, or federal law. Employees of James Lorentson Photography, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, (collectively the “Employees”), and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of Employees are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes.
2. Agreement to Rules: By participating, the Contestant (“You”) agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of James Lorentson Photography as final and binding as it relates to the content of this Sweepstakes.
3. Sweepstakes Period: Entries will be accepted online starting on June 10, 2026, at 12:00 AM PST and ending on November 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM PST.
4. How to Enter: The Sweepstakes must be entered by submitting an entry using the online form provided here. The entry must fulfill all Sweepstakes requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of James Lorentson Photography. You may enter only once. You must provide the information requested. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities, or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules.
5. Prizes: The Winner(s) of the Sweepstakes (the "Winner") will receive one (1) free tuition spot to the James Lorentson Photography Yosemite Spring 2027 Workshop. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of the prize is $3,000 USD.
What is NOT included: The prize strictly covers the workshop tuition fee only. The Winner is solely responsible for all other expenses associated with attending the workshop, including but not limited to: airfare, ground transportation, lodging, meals, National Park entrance fees, travel insurance, and personal photography equipment.
6. Prize Contingencies & Cancellation Policy: Fulfillment of this grand prize is strictly contingent upon the Yosemite Spring 2027 Workshop reaching its minimum required number of paying participants (5 people) by February 1, 2027.
In the event the workshop does not meet minimum enrollment, or is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances (including but not limited to extreme weather, leader illness, or National Park closures), the Winner will receive a credit of equal value ($3,000 USD) to be applied toward any future James Lorentson Photography workshop within the subsequent 24 months.
No Cash Value / Void Clause: This prize and any subsequent credit hold absolutely no cash value, cannot be sold, cannot be transferred to another individual, and cannot be redeemed for cash. In the event that James Lorentson Photography ceases operations or is otherwise unable to host future workshops, all outstanding prize credits become void immediately and no financial compensation will be owed to the Winner.
7. Odds: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
8. Winner Selection and Notification: Winner will be selected by a random drawing under the supervision of James Lorentson Photography. Winner will be notified by email within five (5) days following selection of Winner. James Lorentson Photography shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail, or other security settings, or for Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within 48 hours from the time award notification was sent, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner selected.
9. Rights Granted by You: By entering this content (e.g., email address), You understand and agree that James Lorentson Photography shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, your entry, name, and statement about the Sweepstakes for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent. You also agree to be subscribed to the James Lorentson Photography email newsletter, which you may opt out of at any time.
10. Terms & Conditions: James Lorentson Photography reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond James Lorentson Photography’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes.
11. Limitation of Liability: By entering, You agree to release and hold harmless James Lorentson Photography and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind.
12. Social Media Release: The Sweepstakes hosted by James Lorentson Photography is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta, Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media platform used to promote it.
