The weather report called for a clearing storm, so I knew there was a chance for interesting skies.
About a mile from the car, the trail emerges into the open below soaring cliffs. We made our way along the trail through blueberries, false hellebore and fuchsia fireweed, and crossed over Sibley Creek to discover these trees posing in the light.
This scene, which on a clear blue day would be quite ordinary, transforms into something more under the soft, atmospheric light.
